Chemical wash is an internal oil well cleaner specifically formulated by powerful cleaners and additives for fluid loss control Chemical wash contains strong nonionic surfactants and detergents which enhanced removing oil based mud from casing and formation surfaces. The strong water wetting characteristic of Chemical wash provides improved cement bonding with both oil base and water base mud system.

Application:

Chemical wash should be premixed with gasoline and this mixture exhibit low viscosity and zero yield point, thus it goes in to a turbulent flow at low pump rate and sweeps residual mud from formation face and casing surfaces, it is recommended:

  • To provide a mixture of 30% vol. of Chemical wash and 70% vol. of gasoline
  • To Use a suitable pump, inject the mixture with proper turbulence

Experiences show, for achievement the best results, it is better about 300-500 feet of annular space a head of cement slurry be field by the mixture and follow by this mixture a saturated brine be used. There for the chance of achieving a good bond with the cement, comes in contact with the surfaces are greatly enhanced and also we prevent cement – channeling phenomena. The amount of saturated brine is recommended to be 100-200 % vol. of mixture.

Advantages:

  • Excellent cleaning ability
  • Very high penetration in different kinds of oily contamination
  • Higher rigidity for oil well surface
  • High stability
  • Low viscosity
