CETANE IMPROVER-CONVERTED

CETANE IMPROVER is designed for blending with diesel fuel to increase the cetane number by reducing ignition delay and hence improves diesel engine ignition.

INTRODUCTION

CETANE IMPROVER is designed for blending with diesel fuel to increase the cetane number by reducing ignition delay and hence improves diesel engine ignition. Shorter ignition delay period leads to more complete combustion and reduction in undesirable emissions.

Globally fuel specifications are being set with higher cetane number targets. It substantially helps to improve ignition quality, fuel economy, reduces noise and emissions, and allows for faster ignition at low temperatures and warm up with less misfiring.

DOSAGE

The dosage depends on the base Cetane number (in fuel without additive) diesel fuel and required degree of cetane number boost. A dosage of 100- 2000 ppmw/ppmv is recommended to use in diesel fuel.

ADVANTAGES

CETANE IMPROVER reduces:

  • Ignition delay
  • Misfiring
  • Fuel consumption
  • Exhaust emissions
  • Knock and noise
  • Engine maintenance

At the same time better combustion results in:

  • Improved low temperature satiability
  • Better warm up
  • Better ignition quality
